Comments: Dr. Schafer is helping me through the long process of bone spur repair / Achilles tendon reconstruction. From day one, his methodical approach and depth of knowledge has been a relief for a (somewhat) older patient who has never had surgery before. Although the process is inherently "inconvenient," I can truthfully say that I have expereinced no extreme pain, my wound is healing very cleanly, and the associated UOA physical therapy staff is second to none. Dr. Schafer is down-to-earth, and a very skilled surgeon, in my opinion. I'd return to him should need arise again.
